I'm Molly. =) I really enjoy teaching my dogs tricks, and they love it too! I foster Beagles for my local Beagle Rescue, but my current foster dog is actually a Lab mix. I also volunteer at the animal shelter every once in a while.
This is Rory. Rory is MY dog! He's a wild, 10 month old Australian Kelpie. I adopted him from a woman who couldn't handle him anymore. She loved him and tried her best, but he needed room to run and more attention. She was about to bring him to the pound, but I offered to take him instead.
This just goes to show that you don't have to go to a breeder to get a purebred dog! Kelpies are pretty rare here in the US, they are mostly used on farms, so this was an amazing find for me!
Like most Kelpies, all Rory wants to do is work all day! Since he is too young to start agility or herding lessons, I've been teaching him tricks to keep him busy. He is learning a trick a day, and is having a BLAST! Sadly, Rory does have some behavioral problems, so I will have to socialize him before he can do any acting. (Yep, you read that correctly! He is a dog actor in training!)
2 years ago, I could barley walk Shiloh down the street without being dragged. She was nervous around men, strangers, and other dogs. Since I've started training her, she's become an amazingly talented dog! We go to agility classes every Monday, it is a building full of dogs and barking.
Shiloh is much better around other dogs, and people! She LOVES our agility instructor and the man in our class. I know Shiloh would be an incredible actor dog, but she is still nervous around strangers, (That's just her personality.) So I just make cute youtube videos of her preforming her tricks!
For some reason everyone thinks Delilah is an old lady dog.
Well, Delilah is only 4 years old!! Delilah isn't… 'built' for agility, so I just teach her tricks instead, and she really enjoys it! Delilah just likes to spend her days sleeping. <3
This is my current foster dog Bailey! She isn't a Beagle, but the Atlanta Beagle Rescue isawesome and is letting us foster her through them. We actually found Bailey on the side of the road near death. She was super skinny, and had some skin problems. Bailey is now in much better shape! She has fur growing back, and she is gaining weight. She is now healthy enough to find her forever home!
We are collecting money through the Atlanta Beagle Rescue to help pay for Bailey's vet bills. You can donate online by clicking this link --->http://fnd.us/c/eKoK7
Even 5 or 10 dollars is really helping her out!! Please also share this link to all of your friends! Thank you so much!
